New Nokia Lumia 720 Dual Sim

A new Nokia smartphone is in the news today and this time it's not a phablet, but a dual-SIM Windows Phone smartphone. While we still wait for official confirmation of Nokia's rumored Lumia 1520, which is expected to be launched on September 26, a fresh rumor has claimed that the company might be working on its first dual-SIM Lumia smartphone as well.

Nokia, being the largest manufacturer of WP8 handsets, could bring this feature first in the market. Rumors keep coming about WP8 powered handsets to have dual SIM capability. Last month, Nokia Lebanon hinted at Nokia Lumia 625 soon be getting dual-SIM version. The tweet sent from the official Nokia Lebanon account, reads: "It's a smartphone, it's Dual Sim and it's golden.

The dual-SIM Nokia Lumia 720 is expected to still sport the familiar smartphone specifications. However, pricing scheme is predicted to be a little expensive.Another previous report suggested that the dual-SIM variant will be made available through the Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone. Nokia Lebanon made the announcement on Twitter to excite the device enthusiasts, but the post was immediately removed and the Finnish company did not give any statement to confirm or deny the news.

Nokia originally launched the Lumia 720 along with the Lumia 520. The former comes with a 4.3-inch display and has a Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1GHz SoC under the hood as well as 512MB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD slot. Photography-wise, the smartphone comes with a 6.7-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options like Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi and 3G are all supported. The device weights 128grams and measures 127.9x67.5x9.0mm. Rounding up the package is a 2000mAh battery.

This is not the only device that Nokia has been reported working on. The Finnish company has reportedly been working on its first phablet offering, the Lumia 1520 aka Bandit.
